Emergency Notice
Emergency Food Response Update
Due to the federal government shutdown and suspension of SNAP benefits, HIM Food Bank is experiencing an unprecedented surge in grocery requests.
We are doing everything possible to serve our community with the resources available. At this time, we cannot accommodate all new applications before year end.
Our team is reviewing more than 100 new registrations each day and will contact families in phases, based on need and available food supplies. If selected for the next round of assistance, you will receive an email confirming your grocery appointment.
We remain committed to serving our current clients, partner pantries, and school-based food markets and Grub Hub high school markets while extending assistance to as many new families as possible.
Thank you for your patience, grace, and understanding as we work to meet this community-wide need with compassion and integrity.

Before the pandemic, HIM Food Bank and our wonderful donors provided food to about 100,000 people in over 25 counties throughout North Texas. We partner with local people and organizations to find lasting ways to improve the lives of impoverished children and families.
And the numbers keep growing.

Give Monthly
Families are hurting. Children are going hungry. The pandemic has put moms and dads out of work, unable to provide even the basic necessities for their children.
Just $25.00
will provide a grocery cart of food for one family for one month.
Our Goal
To ensure that anyone who comes to us in need of the basic essentials – food, hygiene items, and cleaning supplies – are served with kindness and compassion, love, support, and encouragement. The HIM Food Bank is a judgement free zone, because we’ve all faced hard times.
Our Commitment to Volunteers
It takes a lot of team work to pack up food every week and load it in the cars of deserving families. Your safety is our priority. You can rest assured that when you volunteer at HIM Food Bank, not only are you doing wonderful, generous work, but you’ll be safe while you do it.
